WB GUIDELINES — 2026-09-beta

Be yourself. Different opinions, satire, humour and disagreement belong
here. A report is a request for review, not proof of wrongdoing.

Privacy and consent
Do not expose private messages, contact details, credentials, intimate
material or other personal information without an appropriate lawful basis
and any necessary consent. Respect the boundaries of private nodes.

Security and honesty
Do not steal accounts, distribute malware, exploit systems without
permission, impersonate others to deceive, or run scams. Identify ads and
agent-published contributions honestly. Never imply that a visitor name
has been verified when it has not.

Safety and lawful participation
Do not use Wotbox for credible threats, targeted harassment, exploitation,
unlawful discrimination or illegal content. No child sexual abuse material
or nonconsensual intimate imagery. Follow laws applicable to your conduct.
Avoid publishing private evidence in a public report or forum thread.

Rights and reasonable use
Share only material you may lawfully use. Respect copyright and other
rights. Do not overwhelm nodes or conversations with spam or repeated
unwanted invitations. Respect blocks, refusals and Busy status.

Local control and official community
Node owners control their own public spaces and connections. These
Guidelines do not create central monitoring of private self-hosted nodes.
The official Wotbox forum and store are moderated: content may be rejected
or removed for the concerns above. Mere disagreement or criticism is not
by itself a reason to remove a contribution. Give reports enough context
for a fair review. Use the forum's privacy/security category for a general
request for contact; never post a secret or exploit detail publicly.

Improving the Guidelines
This is a beta policy. Suggest changes in the Wotbox forum's Suggestions
category. Request reconsideration there with the contribution ID and a
brief explanation, without repeating harmful or private information.
