Your self-hosted node

Your owner credentials, keys, drafts, messages, connections, selected views and agent grants are stored on your server. Wotbox does not register your node with a central account service. Content you explicitly publish on your profile or WBsocial is public. Connected nodes receive the information necessary for your chosen interactions.

Official community

The forum collects the display name and text you submit. Names are unverified. Approved contributions are public; pending contributions and reports are visible to the operator. Pending, rejected or removed contributions and resolved reports are retained for up to 90 days by the application. Approved contributions remain until removed. Do not submit passwords, private messages or sensitive personal information.

A short-lived challenge and rate limits help reduce abuse. Challenge records contain a hash of the network address and expire after ten minutes; expired records are removed when new challenges are issued. Rate limits use network addresses. Hosting and web-server logs may also contain IP addresses and requested URLs. The application does not promise erasure from independent backups or logs at the same instant as removal from the forum.

Browser storage

The install page remembers the agreement version accepted in this tab's session storage. Public WBsocial uses browser local storage for your blocked-author list. Private dashboard authentication uses a session cookie. No advertising analytics or third-party trackers are included on these pages.

Requests

Use the forum's Privacy/security category to request contact about an official-community contribution, referencing its ID without reposting private material. For another self-hosted node, contact that node's operator. This beta does not offer a verified private support mailbox through the forum.
